Short Talks

CALL FOR SHORT PRESENTATIONS

The organizers invite submission of work related to Mild Cognitive Impairment for the Virtual Short Presentations.

All requests for short presentations at MCI2021 must be submitted through our online application.

The topic of the presentation should relate in some way to MCI but does not need to be confined to the four main themes of this year’s Symposium or Workshop. Presenters are encouraged to choose clinical topics, and case reports are strongly encouraged.

Short presentations will consist of two parts:

PREVIEW:
a collection of 7-minute video-recorded presentations for registrants to “visit”/review starting on February 22, 2021.

Q&As:
live Q&A sessions on February 27 and 28 for attendees to meet virtually with presenters and ask questions or give feedback.

PREVIEWS

Presenters must record with us or upload a video “walkthrough” of their presentation (no longer than 7 minutes), which will act as a guided presentation for attendees to review. The topic of a talk should relate in some way to MCI but does not need to be confined to the four main themes of this year’s Symposium or Workshop. Presenters are encouraged to choose clinical topics, and case reports are strongly encouraged.

These lectures are typically work-in-progress. We expect attendees to treat the short presentations exactly as they would in-person talks and not to cite them without permission of the presenter.

Short presentation materials will go live ahead of the start of the meeting on February 22, 2021.

Q&A SESSIONS

To provide attendees the opportunity to ask questions about the short presentations, we will be hosting live Q&A sessions during the MCI2021. Each such presentation (recording and abstract) will have its own chatroom where the presenter can interact with multiple attendees/visitors.

To make the best use of the allotted time, attendees are strongly encouraged to view the lectures they’re interested in during the week before MCI2021 and come to the Q&A sessions ready to ask any questions and discuss the materials.

More information on timing of sessions, presentation structure, and technical requirements for participation will be available soon.

Deadline to apply has been extended to February 1, 2021.
